The Geography

Greece is a country in what is now eastern Europe. Greece has three geographical regions,Northern Greece, Central Greece and Peloponnese. Northern Greece consists of Epirus and Thessaly, separated by the Pindus mountain range. The chief town in Epirus is Dodona where the Greeks thought Zeus provided oracles.  Dodona  it is almost surronded by the Cambunian mountain range and home to one of the biggest mountains on earth, Mt.Olympus.

Centrail Greece is also very mountinoes and has more mountains than northern Greece.  It contains the countries of Aetolia, Locris, Acarnania, Doris, Phocis, Boeotia, Attica  and Megaris. Megaris lies in the Isthmus of Corinth, which separates Greece from the Peloponnese.

Peloponnese is south of Isthmus and is in the center of Arcadia, which is a plateau over mountain ranges. On the northern slope is Achaea, with Elis and Corinth on either side. On the east of the Peloponnese is the mountainous Argolis area.

In climatological terms,Greece can be broadly subdivided into two main seasons. The cold and rainy period and the warm and dry season. lasting from mid-October until the end of March the cold and rainy season can be pretty nice with tempitures rangeing from 50 degrees Farenheit near the coasts, and 41 degrees Farenheit over the mainland, with lower values over the northern part of the country.
With warm and dry season lasting from April until September there can be warm and dry summers and generally extended periods of sunshine throughout most of the year with an averige tempiture of 77.9 degrees farenheit.
